Short ride with Oren, starting from Netanya, getting out of the city the normal way, then heading south this time on Hwy 4, right into a steady headwind. We turned off the freeway by a prison and then rode through Bnei Zion, a little community we have ridden through before, where a lot of cyclist practice. Once through the neighborhood, and then a couple of more out-and backs on the straight road leading into it. Then we headed out the 551, going west and getting caught in a light sprinkle, a little weird since the rain clouds were not directly overhead. Down to a road running parallel to Hwy 2, which we took north to Yakum to stop for coffee at an Arcafe there. Neither one of us was feeling high-energy, so we decided to take the shorter route back to the starting point, riding on the side lane of Hwy 2 until the Poleg Interchange, where we got off and took the street that goes by the Tiv Tam. From there, the way back to my car was straightforward. Not a fast ride, but I could definitely tell that my legs were still feeling it from the previous day.
