Ride over lunch with a smaller contingent of the HP crew, the ones who are still riding "slow." Headed over to RB Rd, then onto Camino del Sur. In the early part of the ride, a couple of the riders, Todd and Wiz, looked strong. I could pretty much keep up with Wiz, but Todd was stronger. Turned on Carmel Valley Rd and took it all the way over to the 56 bike trail, where we pushed the pace up to the turn at Camino del Sur. I stayed with the two leaders until the very end, when Todd dropped the hammer and I couldn't keep up. It was pretty impressive. Headed back over to Carmel Valley Rd, where we took a right and headed back to work via Bernardo Center Dr. On the final climb up to Camino del Norte, Avi put distance on me. It seemed that it had just taken him time to get warmed up. A good ride all the way around, although I later found out that I had gotten a slow leak in my rear tire.
