Solo ride on Presidents' Day, nobody else was interested in going. I switched out my front wheel for my Reynolds wheel and tested the wobble effect I've been experiencing. Headed out by the park and over the freeway to Via Rancho Pkwy, taking that short little climb (always a challenge, it was particularly at the beginning) and heading over to Del Dios Hwy. Was a nice day, low 40s at the start but warmed up into the low 60s by the end of the ride. Down into Rancho Santa Fe, no wobble on the curving downhill drop by the Lake Hodges dam. Continued on Linea del Cielo through the ritzy neighborhood until the road changed its name to Lomas Santa Fe Dr. Then it was down to the coast, where I took a quick break by the ocean before heading south on the Coast Hwy to Via de la Valle. I think the wind was generally coming from the NW, so helped on the next section. Up to El Camino Real and then over to San Dieguito Rd, where I was slower than usual due to the lack of trading leads with others. Rode up Three Witches at modest pace, legs still feeling it from Saturday's ride and no need to set any records. Left on Camino del Sur, then a right onto Paseo del Sur, taking it through the Del Sur neighborhood and crossing over at Four Gee Rd to ride to the top before turning around and following my extended route through the 4S Ranch neighborhood, up by the water tank but not taking that turn, coming back Alva Rd to RB Rd. Left there and then down to W Bernardo Dr, heading home via Duenda Rd and Aguamiel Rd, with a little jaunt on Creciente Way to make sure I ended up over 40 miles for the day. Felt great at the end, no soreness or tiredness in legs to speak of.
