Ride with Robert and Blair after work, leaving from back parking lot and heading over to Via del Campo. Out to RB Rd, where we turned left and then rode through the 4S neighborhood, including the little jaunt up to the end of Four Gee Rd before turning around and then riding through the Del Sur neighborhood. We eventually connected with Camino del Sur and took it to Carmel Valley Rd. I was riding at steady pace but not killing it. Again steady pace, all of us staying together down to the 56 bike path. There we headed back to Camino del Sur, and we had a tailwind. I pushed a pretty fast pace and Robert stayed on my wheel until near the end, when I got out of the saddle and finished strong. It was a Strava PR for me for the whole distance, in 9:03. From there, we rode back to Carmel Valley Rd and turned right, taking the road up and then down to Dove Canyon Rd. Up the little climb to Camino San Bernardo, turning right and heading back to RB Rd. Back to the site the same way we came out, then I rode home from there. Avg speed = 16.1 mph. Total mileage = 30.0 mi
Total elevation gain = 1580' (not counting the climb to work in the morning)
Avg heartrate = 126 bpm (for afternoon portion)
