Bisikleta ride, meeting Gideon and Robert near Robert's house. Headed up to RB Rd and then turned right on Alva Rd to ride through the 4S neighborhood to get to the 4S Target. On this ride, there were 8 riders at the start: Robert, Gideon, James, Andy, Charlie, Eric, and Tim. We didn't really kill the pace on this ride at any time. Headed out Camino del Sur to San Dieguito Rd, and down to El Apajo. Right there and then over to Via de la Valle using Rancho de Santa Fe. Gideon was riding pretty strong on some of the climbing sections. We took Via de la Valle to just before Paseo Delicias, then rode the Stud Loop to Paseo Delicias. I pushed it on the little climb up to Paseo Delicias, then laid back on the Stud Loop section until near the end, where Gideon pushed the pace and I grabbed his wheel. Next, we turned left onto El Camino del Norte, and I dialed it back as we rode up and then over to Lago Lindo to get to El Montevideo. Around this time, Gideo peeled off while we continued into downtown Rancho Santa Fe. A brief stop, then we took Linea del Cielo to Lomas Santa Fe. I pushed my pace on the little climbs here and led out, with others working to stay in contact. Down past I-5, we stopped at a gas station for a more extended break before continuing to the coast and turning left. Then it was over to and through Del Mar to get to Carmel Valley Rd, where we turned and used El Camino Real to get to the 56 bike path. I kept up a steady pace, with the others following, as we rode up to Carmel Valley Rd. I was a little slower on this stretch up to Camino del Sur, but Tim was pushing it in the middle of the section, so he and I traded leads until I got out ahead and finished pretty strong, not as fast as Thursday but still pretty good. We continued on the bike path up to Black Mountain Rd, and it helped to have a mild tailwind to push us along. Then we took Black Mountain Rd over to Carmel Valley Rd, and by this time Tim was feeling it, so I slowed down and kept pace with him and James as we rode to Dove Canyon Rd. Left there and up to Camino San Bernardo, turning left and taking this road to Nighthawk Ln and then over to the starting point. The ride home was standard, I was still feeling pretty good. After turning onto Matinal Rd, I rode down to near the traffic light, then turned right on Matinal Cir and rode back to Duenda Rd before turning right and taking that last little hill up to Aguamiel Rd, then home.
