Slept unevenly, with some really vivid dreams. Maybe it's the new medication? In any case, I woke up after 6:00 and got up to clean the kitchen and create a general list for watching the house while we're gone. Started packing up my stuff for the trip as well. Then I got ready for a swim at the WWC. It had been raining, but the rain had stopped by the time I rode over. Still, I put my stuff under cover while I swam to avoid getting it wet. I was able to use my (supposedly) waterproof bone conduction phones, which appear to have started working again. Hurray! This was a distance day, not a speed day in the pool. I swam a warmup 500, then did another 500 with the swim pads on, followed by a 500 without swim aids (pretty slow, this one), and finishing up with a 500 using swim fins. Here are the splits: 9:38, 9:43, 9:55, 8:49. As I said, slow on this day. That third 500 was slow, stopped a couple of times to catch my breath.
Avg pace = 1:57/100 yds (Video)
Total distance = 2000 yds (Video)
Elapsed moving time = 39:35 (Video)
Avg heartrate = 158 bpm (nope)
Relative Effort = 85 (nope)
SWOLF = 29 (low because it isn't counting the non-stroke time in my laps)
Avg stroke rate = 25 bpm
Avg pull distance = 2.44 yds
Got home, had some coffee, yogurt, and an orange for breakfast while I watched a little TV. I packed most of my stuff, later cleaned the kitchen counters. Watched some TV in the afternoon. Emily came over and dropped off her and Caleb's stuff. Later in the afternoon we drove to pick up the rental car from Enterprise in RB. The evening was for packing up my stuff and putting most of it in the car prior to the early-morning departure the following day.
