05-04-2016 Run

Run in the late afternoon after work, intending to run along the trails in the park.  Up to Duenda Rd / Poblado Rd and then onto the trail that runs by the creek.  I stayed on the trail and took it as it curved uphill and crested the little hill, before heading back down and running through the flats, then climbing back for a view of the waterfall.  Down to run closer to the lake before turning south.  On the way back, I took the trail that dropped me onto the road by the senior center.  Ran up to W Bernardo Dr, then ran along the road in the park and on the sidewalks back to Aguamiel Rd, which was an unwanted steep little section to tackle to get home.  Some of the trail sections were quite steep, and I had to watch my footing more closely, which slowed me down quite a bit.  Still, it was an enjoyable run.  Curiously, this route has less overall elevation gain than my normal route through the neighborhood.  But the uphill and downhill sections are definitely steeper.

Total distance = 4.40 mi
Elapsed time = 38:10
Total elevation gain = 250'
