11-12-2025 Entry

Travel day. Woke up on the early side (<>), I had gotten a fair amount of sleep but had a period in the night of not being able to get back to sleep. We got up and I got the bins out of the car to break camp and make breakfast. I got the coffee ready and then started taking the tent down. Put my bike up on the rack and then took down the vestibule. We had eggs and leftover grilled vegetables for breakfast, they were good as always. Finished packing up all the gear while Ann cleaned up the dishes and put them in the blue bin. We were on our way back by about 9:30 and home, with no morning traffic to deal with, by 10:40. We unloaded the car and put most of the stuff away except for the blue bin, where Ann wanted to wash some of the cloth holders. I had time to shave and shower, then pack some bread and cheese to take to the hospital for lunch, along with my french fries, Pepsi, and ice cream bar. In the ED, there were two nurses training with Lindsey and Johnny, I introduced myself to one of them, Emma. There was also a Pathmaker intern, Heidi, who is preparing to go to PA school after having raised three kids, pretty impressive. As usual, it got busy near the end of my shift, and I left a little bit late. Still got home before it was dark, so all was okay there. Spent a quiet evening at home, watched some TV to unwind. I did wake up around 11:20 and go downstairs to eat some cereal and watch TV, couldn't sleep so well. I read in bed after that and eventually got back to sleep.
