11-16-2025 Walk

This was kind of a weird day. Ann slept in while I worked on the computer trying to learn how to use the Strava API, ultimately with no success so far. I did find out a little bit about how to create web pages, which could prove useful at some point. When it looked like it might be clear enough to go out for a ride, I got ready and started out. As soon as I was on the road, it started to sprinkle, and I decided to turn around, no desire to get wet again. As soon as I was back in the garage it started raining, so that was the right call. During the day, I took a deep dive into trying to get the power pedals to register on my Wahoo again. Pretty frustrating. I ended up fully charging them, calibrating them again, updating their firmware, and after several tries they appeared to sync with the head unit. Will monitor, but I don't have a great feeling about the long-term prospects of this solution. Ann also pointed out an above-ground sprinkler line that appeared to have been chewed through in the back yard. I repaired it with a splice, hoping it holds. The chain on my Fuji Read a fair amount during the day, current book is pretty interesting. Watched some TV in the evening. I also cleaned and re-waxed the chain on my Fuji, which was creaking after getting so wet on the previous day's ride. Went for an hourlong walk at night and listened to podcasts, just for a change.
