11-24-2025 Swim

Woke up around midnight, wide awake, so I went downstairs, had something to eat and watched TV for about 50 minutes. Was able to get back to sleep and wake up around 6:00 (<>). I transferred our cash from selling the last of our HP stock out of the Merrill Lynch account to our savings account, deposited Mom's birthday check, and got ready for a swim at the WWC. It was moderately busy in the pool, but I was there early enough to get my desired lane. Forgot the camera, so I needed to rely on my watch to count laps. For some reason, it didn't register the first 11 lengths I swam, so I treated them as an untimed warmup and swam an additional 81 lengths. Not good form or speed on this day, it seemed to me like more of a cruising day. I ended up logging 2025 yds, and here are the approximate splits for the first four 500s and the last 25: 10:13, 10:00, 10:08, 9:34, 0:29. The last 500 was faster because I used the pull buoy. In that last 500 I did focus on longer strokes, and it generally worked, although I got tired near the end.

Avg pace = 1:59/100 yds (Zepp)
Total distance = 2000 yds
Elapsed moving time = 40:21 (Zepp)
Avg heartrate = 173 bpm (Zepp, not to be believed)
Relative Effort =  135 (not to be believed)
SWOLF = 39
Avg stroke rate = 22 bpm
Avg pull distance = 2.22 yds

Will have to pay attention to how my watch tracks laps. It was frustrating to lose those laps. Had some coffee and toast when I got home. Paid my Medicare Part D insurance premium for December. Laura and Joe showed up a little after 12:30, so we spent the afternoon and evening talking with them. Joe and I went to Von's in the late afternoon to get some stuff, it was really crowded. Was a nice time to catch up on what they have been doing.
