08/10/2025 Hike

Had a pretty good sleep but woke up before midnight hungry. So I ate some food standing up and went back to sleep, reading for a bit. (<>). Went for a hike in the park in the morning, heading over by the falls (there's actually a little water flowing). I then walked the loop path up to the lookout point before walking back to Duenda Rd and home from there. I had some cereal for breakfast and then shaved and showered for church. Saw a lot of acquaintances there, and the children sang a couple of songs at both services, with assistance from Emily and Ann. While they were with the children during Godly Play, I walked over to the coffee house on Grand Ave and had a decaf coffee (they charged extra because it was decaf, that's a first). I walked back and got there as the service was ending. We stopped for gas on the way home. Leftover pizza for lunch and a quiet afternoon. I registered for Medicare, and Ann booked us a hotel for the last night in Paris before our flight home. Had a nap, read some, and worked on my camping trip checklist. Later I updated my cycling database. The afternoon and evening were quiet. I did replace one of the posts for the shade cover in the garden, it went smoothly. Watched some TV and talked to Pat about train logistics. That was the evening.
