Solo ride over to Dave's house, riding across the freeway to BVP and up to Sunset Dr. Then I rode over to Escondido Blvd, taking it to Valley Pkwy before turning left and then heading back to his place via Centre City Pkwy and the normal way through his neighborhood. I was a minute or so late, so we got going right away on his time trial route. This ride had a fair amount of stoplights, so we were slowed down by that. But he is getting into good riding shape. I ended up riding a little harder than I had planned, somewhat on the climbing parts in the middle of the ride and more so on the return, where I was trying to pace him to a PR. Again, too many lights, and I kept getting out too far for him to draft. He missed a PR by about 30 sec, so it is within reach for next time. I was slow on the section back home, feeling the previous day's effort in my legs.
