Solo ride initially over to Dave's house, leaving a little before 6:30 after having walked for an hour. I took it fairly easy on the way over, heading over the freeway and then taking the back way through Kit Carson Park. Stayed on Centre City Pkwy until Felicita Rd, where I turned left and took it up to Redwood St. Then to Montview Dr and Alexander Dr, where I met John and Dave at Dave's place. We then rode the Escondido time trial route, I took it fairly slow until we got past the high school, and then I put a little more effort into the climbs up to Deer Springs Rd. We gathered back at the turn there, and then I kicked in the burners on the stretch along Mesa Rock Rd. John wasn't too far behind me after the turn back onto Centre City Pkwy, and he was motoring on the slight downhill back into town. It seemed that we hit almost every light on the way back, and I would pull hard after each stop and then have to slow down, frustrating. Home the normal way from Dave's place, didn't stay around too long after we finished. With the hard push on the return route, I averaged about 17.4 mph for the time trial section, and if my calculations are correct I rode that section in about 57:26. I wasn't so fast on the way home, kinda struggled up the two little hills, feeling the effects of the previous day's ride.
