No luck in getting someone to come take a look at the car until Monday, so we got one of the last sites, a deluxe cabin, in the campground for two nights and waited it out. Packed up our stuff and moved to the cabin before noon. It's pretty plush, doesn't really qualify as camping. We did have a good, chill time hanging around the camp during the day. Went to the pool in the afternoon, it was nice and cool. Spoke with a guy, Jeff, from BC in the evening at the pool, he and his family were on a 5-week tour of Canada and the United States. He had a couple of car incidents that he shared, probably something we need to be more prepared for, mentally and physically, in the future. We also talked to a lady visiting the US from Israel, where she lives in the Tel Aviv area. She and her husband needed a break from all the political distress in Israel, this the extended vacation. The campground staff were serving ice cream, which wasn't too bad. We also had a beer and hard kombucha, respectively. Most significantly, my phone dried out enough to enable me to charge it again. Not sure if it is fully functional, but it looks to be operational enough.
