This was the start of our big travel trip. We got up early and we're on the road before 4:30. Some traffic where the 215 and the 60 merged, but it wasn't too bad. Got through Las Vegas, again with a little bit of traffic, before noon. Had lunch in a little park somewhere in Utah, I think. Ann drove after that. We got to Duck Creek Campground in the early afternoon and set up camp. Then we found out that there was no water in the campground, which was a bummer. We luckily had a couple of bottles of water, which got us by. But we conserved it during cooking and clean-up. In the later afternoon, we went for a hike over to a nearby lake and back. Quiet evening and early to sleep.
