We drove to Grand Teton NP with Pat and saw the sights. Started with an overlook by a bend in the river, then we stopped at a chapel in the park where Pat goes to mass regularly. Then it was on to a parking area near String Lake, where we got out and hiked over to Jenny Lake. It was a nice hike through a wooded area, and the views by Jenny Lake were pretty. Then we hiked back and found a place to have a picnic lunch. Afterwards we drove along the scenic drive until we got back to the main road, where we continued south until the turnoff for the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve Center. There was a viewing area for moose sighting on the way, but no moose were around. The Center was mildly interesting, nothing noteworthy. Back in the car and over to Moose Junction, where we started heading back. We stopped on the way at Mormon Row, a series of old structures from a Mormon settlement. Mildly interesting. We stopped afterward and saw a herd of bison, then later on at an old log cabin from way back that was still standing. Then it was back to his place for dinner and a quiet evening.
