Solo ride on Thanksgiving morning, couldn't get any of the others to go with me. Was in the low 50's when I started. Out by the park and over the freeway to Via Rancho Pkwy, which presented a particularly slow climb this time, as it had been awhile since I'd ridden it. Better afterward, heading down Del Dios Hwy and having the pleasure of riding >30 mph on the downhill and hearing my tires hum on the road due to the tailwind. It was very warm up before the dam but cooled down quite a bit when I dropped down the climb. Up to Via de la Valle, taking it all the way down to the coast and heading south. Through Del Mar, where I got pulled over by a CHP officer for slowing, but not stopping at a stop sign. I behaved myself for the rest of the ride. Over Carmel Valley Rd to El Camino Real and the 56 bike trail, which has been patched up recently in a number of places. I rode up to Carmel Valley Rd and took it up to Camino del Sur, turning left. Another rider got on my wheel, was drafting for awhile, but couldn't hang on when the incline tilted up. Back at moderate, not great, pace to RB Rd and home via W Bernardo Dr. Overall, I felt okay about this workout, I put a fair amount into it, and it had more climbing than I've done in some time.
