Woke up and got ready for a run. I ran around the neighborhood, approximately following my old 5k+ neighborhood route. As usual, I was faster as the run progressed. Felt fine during the run. I forgot to wear my heartrate band, so no Relative Effort or heartrate data are available.
Avg pace = 8:14/mi
Total distance = 3.47 mi
Elapsed running time = 28:37
When I got home, I helped Ann take the curtains in our bedroom down for cleaning and noticed that one of the curtain rod holders had pulled away from the wall. So I went into my handy collection of organized screws and found a couple to tie the holder into a stud. All went well. Then Ann and I went over to Home Depot and picked up 60 retaining wall bricks for me to build a wall around the area on our west slope where we plan to plant a citrus tree. We had to wait until they pulled down a new pallet of bricks, and I got a workout moving bricks from one place to another. Drove home, and I used the wheelbarrow to transport the bricks to the back yard and built the wall 10 bricks at a time. I ended up using about 50 of the bricks, will keep a couple as spares the return the rest. That exercise was something of a workout for me, arms were okay but my right ankle was sore later in the day and in the evening. Will have to watch that, I don't want to aggravate this old injury from many sprained ankles. I had planned on going for a ride but decided not to on this day. I was pretty tired, had a nap in the afternoon and didn't do too much activity the rest of the day. Instead, I worked on a VBA routine to automate the generation of swimming split times from the cue data pulled off the videos. It went fairly smoothly and now works well. I also fixed my cycling data analysis routines, where the formatting of the date generation columns needed to be modified to allow the sort routine to function in the batch program. I also fixed a minor bug related to capture of heartrate data in bins from 50-180 bpm, so that now works. And I needed to make a minor adjustment to the regular program to reflect the addition of elevation data. All appears to be working well now.
