This was a day shortened by travel to Tokyo. We landed at Narita a little before 2:00 and got through customs and onto the train into Tokyo by 3:15. Not too much thrash in finding our way through the airport. The train ride was a little less than an hour, and thankfully my phone worked well to direct us to our Airbnb in the Bunkyo City neighborhood. We got settled in and the walked to a nearby market to get some stuff for a light dinner. Ann was tired from the flight, she didn't sleep much, so she went to bed early, while I walked to the Yushima Shrine and then the Kanda Myoujin Shrine. The first was lit up and had some people walking around, the second was dark and deserted. I walked from there over to an area southeast of Ueno Park where there were restaurants and bars. It looked busy but I wasn't as close to the heart of the shopping area nearby as I thought I was. Looped around and then back to the Airbnb. It was cold on the walk but not super cold. Was tired when I got back, so I went to sleep before 8:30.
