Blair was playing computer games with Taryn when I got back, so I hung out upstairs until he was done. We had a little time before we needed to get to the bike store, so we chatted, then drove into old town Boise where he dropped me off by the store and I went in to get the bike. The guy there was really helpful installed my pedals and headset and did the first adjustment of seat height. I rode from there to a nearby park, where I met Blair and did a second seat adjustment that fit better. We headed generally northwest on surface streets, which had us fighting a noticeable headwind. Blair was doing a good job keeping up with my reduced pace, although he was in his lower chair ring nearly the whole time. Eventually we got to a turnaround point and took paths on the Boise greenbelt back into town. This path was slowed by lots of turns, some pedestrians, and bumpy pavement due to tree roots. But we had a tailwind that helped us along. It was a pretty ride, all told, and the air temperature was just about ideal.

Back to the park, where we continued on to a collection of shops and stores and stopped to have a post-ride beer. I rode back to the car with him, picked up my backpack the rode to the bike shop to drop the bike off. That went smoothly, and we were on our way back to his house. Got back and got cleaned up, then we were both really hungry from the ride, so we headed to a ramen restaurant for dinner. It was decent. Back to his place after that, where we watched a couple more episodes of Andor in the evening before I went to bed.
