Heartrate up a little higher than normal, presumably due to the humidity and feeling just a bit punky, which had started the previous day. Nothing major, sinuses a little runny but no fever. This was a sleepy day, not much going on, we stayed at least a day too long in Hoi An. I tried to find a place for breakfast in the local neighborhood, but it was definitely not a tourist area. We ended up walking back to Old Town (ugh!) and eating at a Western-style cafe. Walked back to the flat and hung around for a while until we decided to visit the studio of Rehahn, a French photographer famous for documenting Vietnamese cultural groups. It was mildly interesting for a while, the guy is certainly passionate about his mission in this country. Ann walked from there to check on the readiness of her dress, and I walked back to the flat, then back yet again to Old Town to meet her for a drink. We walked back after that and spent the rest of the day around the flat. I got takeaway from the vegetarian restaurant nearby for the both of us, it was again tasty. Went to sleep early.
Finished Lying for Money and started reading All the Devils Are Here, by Brittany McLean and Joe Nocerra. This one is about the precipitating events leading up to the 2008 financial crisis, focusing on Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, AIG, Countrywide Finance, and Ameriquest.
