07-27-2023 Ride

Ride, last one as an HP employee, with Blair from the back parking lot, after having ridden in to work on a day that turned out to be warm but not too hot.  We headed out Bernardo Center Dr to Carmel Valley Rd, taking the downhill and then climbing back up to Black Mountain Rd.  I dialed my pace back due to the heat, and for most of this ride Blair and I were at the same pace.  Then it was down to Camino del Sur, turning right there and taking it back to Paseo del Sur.  The wind was blowing from the west, and it helped on the little climbs on the way back.  Right on Paseo del Sur, then another right onto Haarland Glen, taking it to Paseo Montenero and then to Kristen Glen, which brought us back to Paseo del Sur.  We stayed on it until it turned into Four Gee Rd, then we rode the reverse of the longer route through the 4S Ranch neighborhood, up by the water tank but not climbing up that road.  Over, via Alva Rd, to RB Rd, then down the hill to Cork & Craft, where we stopped in and met Jerry, Pedro, Guangjin, Paul T., and Julio for a beer.  Good times.  Back to the starting point using Via Tazon and W Bernardo Ct to get to W Bernardo Dr for the last little climb.  I rode home the normal way after we got to the starting point.  Was a nice ride to help put some closure to my last days at HP.
