A good day riding. When I woke up, Mark texted me and gave the green light for us to meet at George Bush Park, and I suggested a 7:00 meeting time. I drove over there and met up with him in a parking lot. We got our stuff ready and headed out generally east. The trail was nice, but there were a lot of runners to watch out for. We rode out until the trail turned into a road and then petered out by Addicks Dam. We found a trail along the dam and took it generally south until another trail off to the left showed up. This one eventually took us to Terry Hershey Park, and we rode around there for a while until we ran out of trail, at which point I took the lead and retraced our route. We rode, twice, through a gathering of people waiting for runners at a finish line, and it was funny. After we got back to the starting point, we kept going and rode that trail until it also petered out. Then we reversed our route and rode back the same way. Many laughs and an easy pace throughout. The weather held out, no rain and it stayed cool.

In the early afternoon, Ann, Laura, and I drove over to Mom's house and saw her and Ross. We visited with them in the afternoon, taking a run up to the grocery store to get some things for dinner for the next two nights. Dinner and the evening were nice and quiet. I also placed the order for the sub sandwiches in the afternoon. I went out for a short walk after dinner.
