11-12-2023 Entry

We got up and chatted in the morning before heading over to pick up some salads and the subs in Atascocita. By the time we got back, many of the others had shown up. Eventually, all of Mark's family and most of Ben's showed up, Amber had to work, and Carrie didn't make it. Pat Raines also came over. The food layout was nicely done, and the event was upbeat, low-key, and without drama. No alcohol, which was a plus IMHO. Everybody behaved, and Mom was in good spirits and didn't overdo it. Ross took a fair number of pictures, and both Ross and Ben captured a family photo with most of us in it. It was quiet after the party, we had stir-fry for dinner before Laura had to go to the airport. Mom went to the airport with us, and the weather on the drive there and back was crappy. I just took it easy, no problems. After we got back, I still had a lot of steps to collect, so I ended up walking on all the streets in our Lake Shadows neighborhood. Weather was fine, just a little dripping. Watched a little football after I got back and had some more to eat, don't know why I was so hungry on this day, since there was so much food.
