Woke up early enough to walk for about an hour before heading over to the WWC. No rain, although the sky was gray. Had a good swim day, 2500 yds (48:56) using the normal protocol for the first 2000 yds (38:54) and unaided freestyle for the last 500 yds. This was the first time, at this distance, that I had a 100 yd time <2:00, and I finished the last 500 yds in right around 10 minutes. I cleaned out and organized the pantry in the morning, then later we went to Target and I got some hangars to hang up my cycling jerseys. Then I worked on my bike to adjust the front brake pads position so they wouldn't rub. I had success, at least when the bike was on the stand. In the afternoon, I made some modifications to the GPX file decoder Python code I've written. I scrubbed out all speed values under 1 mph and noticed that I wasn't accurately calculating the moving average speed for the Bisikleta segment, so I figured out how to do that and coded it in. The numbers are now larger and seem to make a little more sense, after Saturday's ride, where I led for almost the whole way and had a lower apparent average speed than several other riders (Rob and Arnold). I'm not sure how Strava calculates its moving average speed, but my code shows a higher value, and I tend to believe it more.
