Tried out one of the Wahoo interval training workouts for 50:00 min. Lots of low-intensity warm-up, followed by a moderate intensity session, then a couple of sessions with alternating high and moderate effort levels. Didn't seem that the Kickr resistance level was very high, and I had to spin at a high cadence to get up to the designated power levels. Forgot to strap my watch to my ankle, so I didn't get the full benefit of the workout translated into steps.
Avg speed = 33.2 mph. Total mileage = 28.4 mi
Avg power = 132 W. Weighted avg power = 149 W
Total elevation gain = 250'
Later, I did my volunteer shift at the hospital, easily filling out my target number of steps. Some names of the staff: Marlo (mail, ultrasound tech), Del (female RN, perhaps Filipino), Mike (RN, has brown hair and glasses), Megan (RN, moon-faced, very nice). I drove to the hospital because it was raining just before I left, but the weather was fine, no heavy rain on either the drive over or the return. Then, Emily and I went to dinner (my birthday present) at Casa Lahori, the Pakistani food restaurant by Von's in RB. Food was good, we ate a lot, and we had a good conversation. She and Caleb may be going camping in June, perhaps near Convict Lake, as his birthday present.
