Went for an hourlong walk in the early morning and then headed over to the WWC for a 2500 yd swim at a slower pace, about 57 min. Normal protocol for the first 2000 yds, then no pads or snorkel for the last 500 yds. I am paying close attention to how my shoulders are feeling while I'm swimming. Left shoulder was a little noticeable in the early stages, but it got better during the swim. Still, I didn't want to push it, so I didn't go for 3000 yds. Then I went home, hung out for a while, and went with Ann to REI to try and pick up a waterproof cycling jacket. The website seemed to indicate they had some reasonably priced ones in stock, but no. I was really frustrated. Don't think I'll be doing business with them anytime soon. We drove back to Stater Bros and got groceries for the Solvang trip, then got bagels at Ralphs and beer at Trader Joe's. I got home and unpacked the camping gear to sort the stuff we will need for the weekend. I also made the spaghetti sauce for Friday night's dinner. The sorting took longer than I expected, but I got it done, hoping the amount of stuff I'm bringing isn't too overwhelming. I packed up my cycling gear and clothing for the trip later in the afternoon, then in the evening I baked some cookies and organized the food a little more clearly. Hoping I don't forget anything critical.
