Went for an hourlong walk in the morning, wore my rain jacket but only got sprinkled on a couple of times. Then I started packing up my stuff for the weekend trip and helped Ann make the Quiche Lorraine that we will bring to the party on Saturday evening. We left around 11:50 to get up to Palm Springs, stopped in Escondido to get gas as well. Waze had us going up the 215 to the 60, which probably wasn't the best option traffic-wise. Maybe it was better for driving in the rain, and we got some showers on the way there. Arrived around 2:15 in PS, the AirBnB was nice but not as spectacular inside at last year's place. This one had a very nice backyard, with a warmed pool and a hot tub. The others arrived not too long afterward. Once I got there, I put on my bike stuff and went for a ride into downtown Palm Springs, just to limber up the legs. The weather held, cloudy but no rain. We were staying at 3071 North Farrell Drive while in Palm Springs.
