Woke up, had some breakfast, then went for a ride. It was ideal riding weather all the way through the ride. Downhill and by the park to get over to Pomerado Rd, where I started the gradual climb. When I got up to the entrance to The Trails, on a whim I decided to turn left and take Bernardo Trails Rd into the neighborhood. This road has lots of ups and downs, and on the return there is a 0.5 mile stretch that goes well into double-digit gradients. It isn't so well-traveled, and my time was the 7th-fastest ever on this segment. After I got back to Pomerado Rd, I kept going south to RB Rd, then followed the time trial route for the rest of the way back. On this ride, I pushed my pace more than in the previous rides this week, and I felt generally good, just a little more tired than usual and not quite as much stamina on the power pulls.
Avg speed = 16.3 mph. Total mileage = 21.9 mi
Avg power = 150 W. Weighted avg power = 177 W
Total elevation gain = 1540'
Avg heartrate = 129 bpm (Coospo)
After I got home, I cleaned up the area under the kitchen sink and did my best to hand-tighten the nut for the faucet. It's better but not as tight as I would like. I finished watching a Marvel movie as well. In the afternoon, which was a quiet one, I tried to reduce the clatter in my handlebars by putting some foam in there to keep the cable from rattling around. Will see if it works. After doing the dishes in the evening, I realized that I didn't have enough steps, so I went for a 30 minute walk. It was dark when I left. I got my tri suit package, and it looks to be decent quality.
