Woke up and had pie for breakfast before the others got up, then went for a walk. Down through the village to the pier, out to the end, then back along the beach. When I got back to the house, the others were up and making breakfast. I chatted with them a little bit but left after the bacon smell got overpowering. When I went back in, David let me know he wouldn't be riding, still recovering from the previous day. So I got ready and rode south this time, focusing on consistent power. Down into Morro Bay and to the base of Morro Rock before turning back and riding over into Morro Bay State Park. The road wound around and eventually got me back to Hwy 1, after some descent and a short climb that was difficult to keep pushing hard on. The ride back was fast, but I could tell my legs were tiring out. The route that Strava had mapped for me took me on some back roads and bike paths, but I didn't get lost.

I was pretty wiped out at the finish but recovered quickly. We all gathered back at the house, had some food, and decided to go wine tasting. Selecting the winery was a laugh a minute, as nobody was willing to pick one. We ended up going to Niner Winery near Paso Robles, it was pricey but decent. They had a nice chef's garden that we walked through before doing the wine tasting. Then we took a longer drive back, along the coast. Dinner was grilled chicken, tofu, and roasted vegetables. Another quiet evening, with berry pie for dessert.
