I rode home in much warmer weather, although it was 7-8 degrees colder at home than at the WWC, due to the lake effect. Had some breakfast, then continued working on cleaning up PC files. This is a tedious job. I got a call from Ben about his visit with Mom to the orthopedic doctor; he handled it well, but Mom was in rare form. He also updated me on Carrie's condition, which is definitely not good. Ann went to the beach around this time. I had some lunch and then afterward decided to go for a short bike ride. Went out into the garage and found that the rear tire on my Fuji bike was flat, so I fixed it fairly quickly. I thought about skipping the ride but pushed ahead. Rode down by the park and then over to Highland Valley Rd, taking it up past the first bend and turning around at 5 miles. I rode back to Pomerado Rd and turned left. Took it up to Rios Rd and turned right there. Over to Bernardo Oaks Dr, turning left and heading up to Lomica Dr. I followed this road to Bernardo Center Dr and then rode home the normal way from there. The weather was comfortably warm, a change from some of my recent rides. I kept a decent pace on this ride but slowed down near the end.

Ann was still gone when I got home, so I watched half of a new Doctor Who episode, then went upstairs to read and have a little nap. I finished the episode before dinner and had a quiet evening, again working on PC file cleanup.
