01-05-2026 Walk

Back to jury duty, which felt like going back to a job I don't much like. Ate breakfast and showered, then rode over to the transit station. Got to the courthouse in plenty of time and talked with some of the jurors about their holiday break. At lunchtime, I walked quickly to the MTS Transit Store and bought a Pronto card with the senior discount, which is a really good deal. Had to walk more quickly back to the courthouse, so I would have time to eat my lunch. Made it there okay with just enough time to eat before afternoon court session. Ride back on the bus was uneventful. I talked to Andy briefly in the evening, trying to convince him to attend Zac & Joey's wedding. Talked to Ben for over an hour about our holidays, frat time in college, and some concerns he has about GI issues he's been experiencing. His general situation is complicated enough to warrant having a legally drafted will, but for now he favors the holographic will concept. He mentioned considering me to be the executor, but I don't think that will happen. Ann and I agreed on a hotel to stay at for the wedding, then I watched TV before going to bed.
