This was a nice day. I went for a solo bike ride in the morning, heading down by the park and then up Pomerado Rd until I got onto the time trial route, then followed it home. No interest in setting a fast pace, so it was nice to be out on the bike in the morning.

After I got home and showered, Laura and I went shopping, as she hadn't bought any Christmas presents for the family. We drove down to Fashion Valley and picked some items up. She was going to buy a perfume spray for Emily at Neiman-Marcus until she saw that it was $300. We had a laugh about that one. Went to a couple of cooking supply stores as well as Lush. I got Ann a new candy thermometer (turns out she didn't need it, she got her old one to work). Then we stopped at World Market in 4S Ranch, and she got some other items before we had lunch at the Thai food restaurant. Ann and I set out the luminaria in the afternoon and went for a short walk around the block. In the evening, we went to the 7:30 service at Hope UMC. The music was decent, they had a nice brass ensemble, but the sermon was a little disjointed.
