Went for an hourlong walk in the morning, then headed over to the WWC for a quick swim, 1500 yds freestyle without pads or snorkel. Finished in about 31 min, which was a little slower than I would have liked. Then I headed over to Palomar Medical Center in Poway for my Emergency Department volunteer training with Margie Wiens. It's a relatively small department, I'm hoping it will be busy and I'll be able to find useful activities to keep me occupied. I also got my badge and parking sticker. In the afternoon, I worked in the backyard cleaning out weeds, lots to do still there!
On another note, I started putting the psoriasis cream on the scaly spot on my scalp, and it appears to be working well. Still a little bit of scale there, but it is much less irritated. Will keep it going for another few days to see how completely it can clear up.
Lots going on in Houston, most of it not good. Mom has been particularly depressed around Christmas, and Ben's mix-up in communication about when he and his family were coming over didn't help. It's not clear where the communication broke down, but she's not happy. She also isn't ready to go through stuff in the house and get rid of the things we don't need anymore. So I'll find some handyman things to do while I'm there in January. Ross is also bent out of shape about recent communications, I don't know what that's about. I'll let him cool down for a bit and try to check in next week.
