01-26-2024 Entry

Walked for an hour and fifteen minutes in the morning, over to the new subdivision along Foley Rd, with houses in the $220-320k range. They looked pretty nice but with small backyards. Got home and got ready to drive with Mom over to Ben's house to see him, Adri. Suzanne, Abigail, Hannah, and her two girls Carson and Phoenix. New cat is currently named Shreveport, after the location of the warehouse where Ben picked him up on his trucking route. We visited for a while and then headed to Chik Fil A for lunch. It was okay, no main dishes for vegetarians, but the others seemed to like their food. Afterward, Mom and I stopped at a nearby Best Buy to get a Bluetooth transmitter that will work with her new Bluetooth headphones, along wit a set of powered speakers for the TV on the sun porch. A little rain on the drive back, nothing too severe. I installed the new items when we got home, and everything worked as planned. It rained heavily the rest of the evening. Dinner was baked tortellini with Alfredo sauce and garlic bread. Not a great meal, too much processed food. In the later evening Mom had some pretty severe heartburn, and I was wondering if it would resolve by itself. Watched a little basketball on the TV, sound is better there, not perfect but definitely better.
