Had a very nice, extended waking up period (<>), then I got ready to walk over to the WWC for a swim. When I got there, it was quite overcast, there were two other swimmers who were in the pool when we started. It made me a little more motivated to keep a high pace, since one of the swimmers was swimming almost as fast as me. While I was swimming, I was looking for excuses to cut the workout short, but I ended up doing the entire 2000 yd protocol, finishing in about 39 min. Felt good to be done, I pushed hard, especially toward the end. Then I walked home and had some breakfast, packed up my stuff for the camping trip. Got the food and clothes packed into the car, then I put the bike rack on and brought my old bike. Ended up forgetting short finger gloves, bike shorts and a water bottle. I need to make sure I use checklists from now on. I also forgot my pillow, used a rolled up towel instead. Nothing catastrophic, just had to adjust. We had grilled stuff for dinner, pretty tasty. Ann had made a pound cake that she toasted on the grill and served with ricotta and berries. Good but not great. Camp setup went fine, the new mattress is nice and the air pump fills it up super fast. Could be a bear to get back in its sack, we'll see. It was a early night for us both, I was pretty tired.
