Woke up (<>) and started breakfast, I made pancakes and we had them along with coffee and yogurt. Then we started breaking down camp. A note about the shade cover. It has gaps at the bottom where bugs can get in, and they frequently did while it was up. But we both got pretty good at trapping stinging insects in particular and then letting them out. It became something like a game. Ann is better at it than me, particularly with the other flying insects. While she cleaned up the breakfast dishes and packed the cooking gear up, I packed the rest of our stuff up. The air mattress did pretty well, it was a little difficult to stuff into the sack it came in, but I got it done. Lots of bugs around the camp, and we spent time removing caterpillars from everywhere. Got it all packed up, including the bike, and we were on the road by 10:00. No traffic on the route back, although we turned off the I-8 at Lake Jennings Park Rd and took it over to the 67, then Poway Rd down to Espola Rd. Once we got home, we cleared out the car and put the camping gear back on its shelves, and put the remaining food away. Lunch and a quiet afternoon. Before dinner, I weeded the gravel path in the backyard and moved the wood chips out. Then, after dinner, I went for a short walk around the neighborhood, then we watched an episode of The Three Body Problem in the evening. I went to sleep early.
