This workout seemed much harder than the previous one with the wetsuit, perhaps because of the buoyancy difference. I found myself, most of the time, having to breathe during every stroke, and I think that also slowed me down. When I finished, I wasn't quite as wobbly as the last time in getting out of the water and over to where I'd left my flip flops. I changed clothes, and we rode bikes over to the Boardwalk and headed north. We rode up toward north PB and then had lunch at Mission Baja Tacos, which is a pretty decent place with great horchata. Then we rode back, this time on the bay side, and added in a ride out to Bahia Point and back before packing the bikes into the car and heading home. When I got home, I got my old phone out and started charging and updating it, since I needed to use it while I took my new phone in to replace the charging port. Took it to a place in Escondido by Sushi Yama and dropped it off, since the service tech thought he would need a couple of hours to replace the board in the phone. I drove home and got ready to drive over to Lake Miramar for a run before meeting Emily at the house where she is dog-sitting Jerry and Odie. Drove over there instead of riding, to save time. It was warm when I got there, ran counter-clockwise around the lake, which meant running more into the wind on the second half of the run. I wasn't feeling super, seemed to be laboring a little but maintaining decent speed through the first four miles, each faster than the previous one. The last mile was hot, and I slowed down a little bit due to exertion and some overheating.

I didn't wear my heartrate band, so heartrate wasn't sync'ed with the run data in Strava. Sat and recovered by the lake after the run, heavily sweating. Then I drove over to the house where Emily was, and she and I took the dogs out for their walk around the neighborhood. Nothing much discussed, but it was a nice cooldown time. We chatted a little further back at the house before I drove home and had a light dinner and a lot to drink over the course of the evening. Watched some TV, read some, mostly relaxed.
