08-05-2024 Run/Swim

Got up early and went for a run down by the park, two loops around the park and then back. Felt fine until I was finishing up the third loop, when I started feeling some pain in my left side. I ran through it, but it was sore for the rest of the day. I think it's a slightly pulled muscle.

I have a few more body aches, presumably as a result of falling on my bike on Saturday, since my right side is generally more sore. After I got back from the run, I ate some breakfast, then got ready to head over to the WWC for a swim. Finished the first 2000 yds (standard protocol) in a little under 39 minutes, then I swam an additional 500 yds with the pull buoy, first focusing on stroke lengthening by doing only one stroke at a time (200 yds), then single-arm stroke exercises for 25 yds (200 yds), finishing with a standard 100. After I got home, I went out behind the fence and chopped down the last leafy bush there, got almost done with chopping it up before I ran out of bin space. I was tired at the end, glad to be done with it. I then replaced the tube in my front tire with a successfully (?) patched one.
