This was a generally quiet day. I headed over to the WWC for an early morning swim. Was a little miffed that, even though I got there early and was standing by a lane, this kinda weird guy walked into the pool and took my spot. I said something to him, but he got defensive and I let it go. Ended up sharing a lane at the end of the pool with Blaine, and it was fine. I wasn't so fast, finishing 2000 yds in about 40 minutes, and my stroke count was too high. Not so much done when I got home, just noodling around the house. I did end up talking to all three brothers in the same day. Mark called early to let me know that Jean Lancaster had died peacefully at home, then Ben called with a minor concern about the Pathfinder not being available for when I go to Houston. Later on, in the afternoon, Ross called just for a general chat, although he wanted to hear the Starlink story. He had a similar reaction when he saw the straight line of satellites in the sky early in the morning. He's also feeling the weight of what his future looks like, including getting out from under the burden of his mortgage and living out in the country, away from it all. While he and I were talking, I did a little bit of minor clean-up on my cycling analysis program, aiming to add some significant stats for each ride into a CSV database file that I can then analyze in more detail via Excel. I also figured out, finally, how to display the power curves using a logarithmic x axis. The translation to HTML format doesn't work perfectly, but the data are clearer using this scale. After dinner, I went for an hour long walk to get my steps in, then it was a quiet evening with a nice finish. <>!
