I got up maybe a little later than usual but still was on short sleep. Went for an hourlong walk around the neighborhood, had been a while since I'd done that. It was foggy on the walk but clear and cool. When I got back home, Ann was up, she made beignets, and we had them with coffee. She made a big batch, which was more than we could comfortably eat in one sitting. Lazy morning, I watched the first half of the Chiefs-Steelers game and made oatmeal cookies to take to the hospital. Had just a little lunch, then I rode over for a shortened volunteer shift. Kristine and Anna were the admins, Tina was also a nurse on the shift that I had seen once before. Mila came in later, she works evenings and I have seen her occasionally. Trevor is a med tech that I didn't remember meeting before. The shift started a little slow and was pretty busy for an hour and a half with cleaning rooms of people who had left. When I left around 3:15, there appeared to be a lull in the patients being discharged. Rode home, and it was kinda chilly on the scooter. I was pretty tired, so I had a little nap when I got back. Then I watched some TV, an entire episode of Endeavour, which is unusual. Ann made cabbage rolls for dinner, with mashed potatoes. They were excellent, a real surprise to me. The evening was quiet.
