Woke up late, slept fairly well (<>). I ate some cereal for breakfast and slowly got ready for a swim at the WWC. This swim was unexpectedly difficult. I just couldn't find a rhythm, and my goggles kept leaking. So it was a slow pace, about 2-minute 100s averaged over the whole swim. I swam 1800 yds, the last 250 with the push buoy to focus on lengthening my stroke. Here are the splits for 500/500/500/300: 9:52, 10:00:10:23 (adjusted goggles), 6:21 (added push buoy). After I got home, we planned an afternoon out, starting with hot pot for lunch at a place in Clairemont Mesa. It was decent, not a hit with Joe, it was his first time. From there, we drove down to Balboa Park, pa|ked in a remote lit and took the shuttle to the main plaza. We walked through the Museum of Us, most of the exhibits were the same as the last time Ann and I had gone. Walked back to the rebuilt botanical enclosure, then shuttled back to the car. We stopped for groceries on the way home, and I had leftovers for dinner. Then Ann, Joe, and I watched Napoleon Dynamite, him for the first time. Still a quirky, funny movie.
