I had a quick shower there and then drove down to the DMV in El Cajon to renew my driver's license and get RealID. Went fairly smoothly, I had made an appointment and it was close to being on time. Drove to Home Depot in El Cajon after that and picked up the new toilet to install in the upstairs bedroom. It's heavy! Then I drove home, originally thinking I would stop at the grocery store on the way but ending up not doing so. Had some lunch when I got home, I was pretty hungry. In the afternoon, I installed the new toilet, carrying the pieces up one by one to reduce the overall carrying weight. I used a rubber toilet gasket instead of a wax one, will see how it works. All of the seals held first time it filled with water, which was a big plus. I watched some TV in the mid-afternoon and then fixed the outlet in the upstairs bedroom, which appeared to have a loose wire going into the back. That outlet may need to be changed out with a GFCI outlet, another project for a future time. The evening was quiet, and I was more tired than expected. Went to sleep around 8:00.
