Got up super early, a little after 3:30. Couldn't get back to sleep, and I went for a walk starting around 4:30. A little less than an hour at a brisk pace, got home and had breakfast and a shower. I packed my cycling shoes in hopes of getting a workout or two on Laura's Peloton. Need to figure out how to swap the cleats. Then we finished packing and drove to the normal airport parking lot. Got to the airport and the gate with no issues, in plenty of time. Flight went smoothly, and Laura picked us up at the airport. We dropped our stuff off at her apartment, the drove 8nto downtown SF to walk around and have lunch. We ate at a dim sum place in Chinatown, it was pretty tasty, then we had Gelato in North Beach. After that, we drove up to near Fort Mason and had a fairly long walk up to a lookout point by the Golden Gate bridge, then turned around and walked back. My legs were tired when we got back to the car. We encountered some traffic on the way back but got through it. Was glad that Laura was driving. Dinner at her place.
Around this time, I started Walter Isaacson's Leonardo de Vinci. So far, it's been moderately interesting. I wasn't aware of how influential he was as a painter. He was gay, and he had a problem with finishing works that he started, whether it was paintings or ideas he jotted down.
